HTPS will take Convention 101 to the web with a web seminar scheduled for Wednesday 2/17! If you haven’t been able to attend one of the Convention 101 sessions, here’s your opportunity to attend one live at your own computer. Check out the details:
Political conventions aren’t just for the “party elite.” They are for everyone who wants to become more involved in shaping the direction of the party. If you’ve never attended a convention because you didn’t know what happened or what to do, Houston Tea Party Society takes the mystery out of the process.

I am very surprised that no fee is being charged for HTPS’ efforts. After holding the webinar, I recommend permanently archiving it on the website with an option to view it any time for a nominal fee. In this way, HTPS creates a small revenue stream for other non-profit activities. This is a common practice for various non-profit professional organizations such as the Texas State Bar, which offers a web library of continuing legal education courses. After all, there is nothing wrong with practicing the capitalism that conservatives preach!
I say let’s keep this “Tea Party ” simple. No dues, or pledges.
