Tea Party “Truthers”

So let me get this straight…
They create a COORDINATED big main stream media chorus of lies about the tea party movement, that are so ridiculous they fall flat on their face, accusing us of being “fake” and astroturfing. Hell… we’ve never been in contact with “corporate lobbyists” (other than Jane Hamsher to call her out) . Excuse me… this was organized by “normal” folk, I’m unemployed as of a week and a half ago, and have contributed financially as well as as others in the community hitting that donate button. To clarify, none of the money that Freedomworks collects comes to us.
Now we’re having these big name, big money “Dinner Party” people, that do deal in actual “astroturfing”, accusing us of being “Corporate lobbyists”. They are so full of it and the hypocrisy is astounding! We’re not doing the stuff they do themselves and accuse us of, and their argument is that we do not come from them, we are illegitimate. So out comes the innuendo:
OMG!!! Freedomworks listed the tea parties! Dick Armey is with Freedomworks! He’s doing the whole thing! OMG!!!
OMG!!! I saw Fox News covering the Tea Parties!!! It’s All them!!! OMG!!!
OMG!!! George W. Bush looked at a tea party website on his laptop!!! He’s obviously behind the whole thing!!! OMG!!!
OMG!!! They put a bicycle in a tree!!! Astroturfing!!! OMG!!!
This all looks so so stupid and foolish… I’m more amused than angry 
BTW… Here’s Corporate Lobbyist (hey, if she can do it!) Jane Hamsher jumping on her broom and taking off as soon as she’s scared by asking to present evidence that the tea parties are run by “Corporate Lobbyists” and Fox News, She has none, the coward!

Grow up guys! They’ve given no funding or help in organizing. We’ve only talked to them in terms of providing speakers and such. Get a life!
They know full well that we are not sponsored by “Corporate Lobbyists”. But they also know that if they accuse us of it, that it will be picked up by the leftist MSM and spread as though it is true.

If we are serious about controlling national government growth & spending, we must repeal the 17th Amendment. The 17th eliminated the competing constituencies that limited DC government growth.
If Senators represented the States as was the original intent, they wouldn’t agree to consolidating power in DC. More power would be reserved at the state level, which means individual voters would have more power. Federalism would be restored.
The current system creates two houses of similar constituencies and composition. Senators and Reps must both please their parties, raise money by kowtowing to special interests, and promise voters give-aways. Reform minded Senators get bent by the system into behaving in ways that please their constituents in order to win popular elections, so we keep getting more of the same.
Repealing the 17th is the only way to stop this incessant growth and grasping.

Shameful. Embarrassing. “They’re just angry they aren’t the ones stealing anymore.” Well, on one hand Jane, I guess I’m glad you are saying it for what it is: Stealing. Theft out of our pockets, and worse, out of the pockets of children for generations to come. I assure you that if it were any conservative politician passing a trillion dollar bill that no one had even read, we’d still be this angry.
