Some final notes
We really expect no violence, this is a family event. If someone is causing trouble, notify security or police.
Both the Houston Rockets and Astros are out of town on April 15th, so we will not have any traffic or parking conflicts with people attending professional sporting events. We do recommend people park and try to take Houston Metro downtown. Be prepared to probably spend $5-$20 for parking.

Signs can not be attached to sticks or holders of any kind. Flags cannot be on poles. UPDATE! According to Jones Plaza, poles are allowed. Call them if you have any questions, please. Only those little tiny flags on little sticks can. Questions about what you can and cannot bring can be directed to Jones Plaza and the HPD – they can give much more accurate information than we can!
Bring your cameras! We’ll use as much of the imagery as possible to spread the word about how Houston turned out to protest the runaway federal government, and on the off chance that there are counter-protesters or crowd spoilers, we’ll have documentation of that too.
Please keep with our Sign theme when you can: “YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!” After you’ve worked hard to pay YOUR taxes, Come protest WHAT they spend your tax dollars ON! Please be tasteful as well! Remember, this is not an anti-President Obama rally, it’s about what the runaway Congress is allowing to happen in this nation! The varmints we can do something about are the ones WE send to Washington, so let’s focus there first.

We expect quite a crowd. If we have overflow we are setting up an overflow area to protest the post office. Please stay on sidewalks there, and we apologize if Jones Plaza becomes too full. We are working to accommodate people in case this happens.

Edit: Was just told However, all attendees of the Tea Party may use the valet at the Angelika Theatre across the street on Smith street. Parking here is 8 dollars which may be cheaper than self parking if they raise prices in the underground garages.
